Asians are stubborn…

Posted by The *Angriest* Pharmacist as Engrish, Stupid People, Work Sucks

I know I know…you’re thinking, “WHO THE FUCK DOES THIS GUY THINK HE IS?”

Today, I spoke Engrish with a lady for 10 minutes. It took me a while, but I figured out that her mother had the sniffles and a deep, hacking chest cough.

My suggestion was generic Benadryl and generic Robitussin-DM. She was very happy with my choices. She asked my about the name brands. I told her that the generics were the SAME THING (samm-ting) and there was no reason to spend the extra money. She spoke crappy English, but she understood me when I told her that generics were not inferior products.

I went back to my dungeon. I watched this bitch put both the diphenhydramine and guaifenesin/dextromethorphan back and exchanged them for Benadryl KAPSEALS and Robitussin-DM…at 10 times the price.

WHAT. THE. FUCK.

This exact same thing has happened twice in the past week with Asian-born customers.

I guess were they’re from if it’s not the most expensive, it’s not worth a shit.

For more than a decade, I tried answering questions about OTCs, and a huge amount of the time got the same result, angriestpharmacist. I know it is frustrating, but what happens is that people do listen to what you have to say, then they go make their own choices. It’s annoying, but a fact of life.

One phenomenon I finally gave in to was the question, “Is X good for a cold?” One day, I somehow guessed that this wasn’t the question that all these people were asking me. The real question was, “Where can I find the X?” I showed them the X, and they took the X and said, “Thank you!’ DUH…

Hey hey! Not all Asians are stubborn OK! I’m one, and I ain’t stubborn. Don’t brand us as such! LOL.

Anyway, it was funny reading all your posts. Got me cracking up the whole time.

LOL I’m Asian too,and I know what you mean. Awkwardly, however at our pharmacy, it seems as if Asians want to ask 193081281378129 questions before buying anything to make sure they get the best deal ever.

Sometimes my mom does that at high end stores like Gucci and I cringe in horror and run away, embarrassed.

Don’t insult the person’s “crappy English” because:

1) How many languages do you speak?
2) You don’t even know the difference between “they’re, “their,” and “there.” (That’s right, it took and ASIAN to correct your grammar, bitch!)

PWND

1) I don’t see any errors. Check again, cocksucker.
2) I don’t speak any languages other than English, but I am not in an Asian nation soliticing free advice from a healthcare provider that does not speak my primary language.
3) How many blogs do you operate? My website gets *hundreds* of hits per day and has more than 20 THOUSAND words in my posts (you can see that info on the right). I would think that a person typing that many words has the privilege to have a few errors – even though I rarely do…
4) Don’t number your lists when you only have two items…
5) So there…

[...] the hell “all asians are stubborn” comes to my site. Coincidentally, I have a post by those exact words. I’m the first on the list if you type that into [...]

Haha to that dumb Asian fool. His use of there and they’re was correct and you prove his point. Asians DO NOT take advice and never try to correct them, they’re always right even when they know jack. I think it’s cos they have small manhood and act similar to Women who have no balls at all and are never wrong.

Wow Whitney, did an Asian person bite you in the ass? And while I agree that Asians can be stubborn (my parents are from Vietnam), I’ve noticed that the “Name Brand is better” folk tend to be older, white/black and wealthy. OR they’re on some government funded insurance and they always want the “real stuff”
