Okay, why in the hell don’t I have a fan club?

Anyway, here’s the new story:

Schmuck #1 comes in and hands me a bottle requesting a refill for his wife’s Risperdal 0.5mg. I told him around 15 minutes. He comes back with, get this shit, “Fill it with 0.25mg this time.” Whaaaa? I told him that wasn’t how things worked…we can’t just change a prescription all willy-nilly. Then he told me to call her doctor and ask for the change. I told the schmuck that the doctor would think I was looney if I did that without reason. What is the reason?

“Well, her hallucinations have doubled, she’s throwing up a lot, and I think she had a seizure”

Are you fucking kidding me? It’s not time to reduce the dose. It’s time for the emergency room and a psych ward…

Broke 200 today. First time ever. Big shit huh? It was me and a two techs…one at a time. One left as the other came in…Twelve hours of complete psycho hell…

Still yet…200? Big shit right? Look at the lower right hand corner of your screen. Notice the day of the week…yeah…NOT MONDAY. I doubled my usual volume on a fucking Wednesday…

Is that 200 items dispensed, or 200 patients, or some combination of both?

I’ve done 278 items in the five hours since we opened this morning. That’s realtively normal.

200 in 12 hours makes the US sound very attractive :)

But i agree double your usual business, what is going on? Did another pharmacy forget to open? or do you have large-busted techs pulling in the guys?

That 200 “items dispensed” - each one being a prescription product. I’d say the busiest pharmacies in the states would do 1000 in a day, with the slowest independents doing as little as 30-50. But, keep in mind, I’m also selling 40-50 boxes of Psuedoephedrine, working the cash register, and select/recommend on everything else OTC.

Time is short…and I don’t hire big busted techs - data shows they are dumb…:-)

Two hundred eh? Heh…when you get to 300, you can grab the person with the 300th script, and yell in their face “This…is…PHARMA!!!”.

As a former big busted tech and a current big busted pharmacist, I would like to see this “data”. Perhaps big busted techs make the men around them stupid ;) That would explain at least some of my customers.
