PS - Check out this weird story I got from “Wayne” concerning Walgreens. They charged a lady for OJ, sugar, and a glucometer after she passed out from hypoglycemia in line. Or at least they tried to charge her…

If I had been the manager, I would have thrown my own 25 bucks in the till and have been grateful to a mericiful God that the woman didn’t literally die waiting for a prescription in my store, and would have called the nurse and medics to thank them royally for their presence and tried to get management to get them some kind of thank-you freebie from Walgreens! The guy could have been a saint instead of a sinner.

I’d have to say that is totally typical Walgreens. Never have I worked somewhere where I’ve heard so many employees (including the over-the-top, rah-rah, pro-Walgreens pharmacists) talk so much about “company profits.” I mean dammit, I now a pharmacy has to make money, but @ Walgreens, the focus on profits is way too much.
