This has been an ongoing issue here for some time. This post is going to be my reference point for users/subscribers on TheAngriestPharmacist.com

The above file discusses how to subscribe in-depth. A quick walkthrough is below:

With that username/password, you can login to the “admin area.” It shows you the number of posts, comments, recent comments, and websites that link to me. You can edit your profile. This means you can provide some more information or, more importantly, change your password to something you will remember.

If you use the form below, or used it in the past, it is merely a quick-subscribe. It merely saves you a little time, but it should still email you a username/password.

Under the PROFILE section, there is an area called SUBSCRIPTIONS. Everyone should be automatically subscribed to all of them. This is the only way to be sure you receive email notification of ALL new posts. If you pick and choose, you may miss a new post if it is not included in your categories. If a post is in multiple categories, you will NOT be “double emailed.” So, my suggestions is to select all categories. [NOTE: To ensure all users would be notified of THIS post, all categories were selected for this post.]

The TOOLS area should be blank for subscribers at this time.

Now, all of this is entirely separate from subscribing to comments on a specific post. If you want to see what happens as discussion continues and rather than repeatedly check back, you can “subscribe-to-comments.”

If you don’t want to comment and merely want to SUBSCRIBE TO COMMENTS, that is fine. If that’s the case, merely send in the comment SUBSCRIBING with the “Check to be notified of followup comments” checkbox ticked. You will retain the subscription to comments and receive an email with each subsequent comment FOREVER. The comment, however has to be published and stay published otherwise you lose the subscription. [NOTE: If you get the error of 'comment too short' just copy and past subscribe in there twice and it will sneak through. I have a 15 character minimum.]

You can manage your COMMENT SUBSCRIPTIONS via a special link that comes with each comment notification email you receive.

COMMENTS YOU MAKE CAN BE EDITED FOR 30 MINUTES AFTER YOU POST IT (WHEN IT SAYS “COMMENT IN MODERATION”). THIS OPTION DISAPPEARS AFTER I APPROVE THE COMMENT FOR PUBLICATION.
