Lots of stuff to look at

Finally, a non bullshit assessment of generic drugs from someone without their head up their ass. They got valid opinions from people that matter and aren’t retarded.

Here’s a case that is a bit odd.  Mother and son run away after MD tells them the 13 yr old’s Hodgkin’s Lymphoma  is worsening. Mother rejected chemo and western medicine and settled for tried, tested, and true homeopathic Indian Medicine.

The courts did not think this was a good idea.

Let us not forget,”Child Dies, Parents Perplexed”:

Here’s a handful of bullshit. The slop was posted on AOL Health.com and made it into some even bigger channels. Everone better order a bottle of Vicodin, Norco, and Soma.

Pharmacist robbed. Pharmacist gets mad, concealed weapon permit. Pharmacy robbed again. Robber killed by Pharmacist. Pharmacist chases down second robber and shoots him in cold blood. Pharmacist in deep doo-doo.

Oprah’s health advice could make you very sick. Here’s an explanation from Newsweek saying why….I’ve said since the beginning that Neti Pots were the devil.

Hope you enjoyed today’s helter skelter rag tag post.

I had about 10 people today argue with me over prescription and OTC brand generic things and how we just need to modify the price or copay down from the brand price to the generic price but still give them brand. Had a couple of people tell me their allergic to all “genetics.” I usaulyl will get 1 or 2 a week who will argue with me or ask about them, usually when dealing with zyrtec and sudafed with them usually going for the generics because they don’t feel like shelling out a couple of bucks more for the brand.

All this crap in the media though about how bad generics are is really annoying, especially when the patient then proceeds to complain about how expensive everything is when they have to have brand on everything.

Concepts in reality and rationalization are complicated for the typical, American patient dumbass.

Dude, where is the part about neti pots???? That is so weird! I was JUST TOLD to use this Neti pot thing. I am a voice-over artist and was told it would be great for my voice. So, um, why are they the devil? Yikes. Maybe I won’t use it.

We have snot for a reason. It’s part of our immune system! It’s chocked full of white blood cells and KILLER cells….and you want to wash the best medicine away?

Just thought I’d comment that the pharmacist in OK did not shoot the second robber in cold blood. The second robber got away. He actually returned to the first robber that had been shot in the head after the second escaped, retrieved a second gun, and shot the downed robber in the stomach 5 times.

I’ve been trying to follow this story because I feel for the pharmacist.

Why is it that so many pharmcists think they are physicians? Let me inform you that you are NOT physicians, have NOWHERE NEAR the education or cognitive abilities that a typical physician does, and you are simply an overpaid bottle-filler. Nothing more. No, you cannot diagnose medical disorders, though you often THINK you can. You are a pathetic, self-loathing, wannabe. I am the physician, and you are the pharmacist. So I am in charge, NOT you. Get that through your thick skull. If I write a prescription, you fucking fill it, and shut the fuck up, and get on to the next customer. You are nothing more than a fancy cashier!
NEXT!

Then let me inform you, cocksucker, that in my state pharmacists have many privileges quite contrary to the “I am the doctor I am god” crap you are slinging around (If you even are a doctor and not just some fuckwad trying to be funny).

In my state, pharmacists can enter collaborative practice agreements allowing them to edit therapies at will in a retail setting. Meaning, if the MD writes Lipitor and it’s not covered, we can switch to equivalent doses of another statin.

Or, pharmacists can enter collaborative practices with an institution such as a hospital and consult on medication therapy management in-house. So, the MD can diagnose the disorder and write in the chart, “consult pharmacist on drug therapy plan.” Then, the pharmacist can check out the patient’s chart and write in the drugs/orders they think are appropriate. The physician can come back and edit/change as he sees fit, but it’s not necessary to ‘approve’ or anything.

Finally, when considering federal law, pharmacists have always had full prescriptive authority. Pharmacist-run clinics are prevalent in our VAs. They see the patients to optimize drug therapies in many different disease states and the patient follows up with the physician if needed — but mainly sees the pharmacists to manage HTN, HDL, or DM.

So, while you’re busy flapping your gums trying to show us all how big your dick is, pharmacists across the nation are busy helping people and proving that you’re talking shit because you’re scared as if we WANT your job — you’re intimidated for some odd reason. Nonetheless, you see what you want to see — an old man with a B.S. in Science filling prescriptions while in fact, the Pharm.D. is a very respectable degree where we are trained in many fields of healthcare beyond the scope of working a cash register and putting pills in bottles.

In closing, go fuck yourself, and when you’re done acting like a pompous prick, act like a member of the healthcare team. Act like your goal is to help patients rather than solidify your place at the top of the healthcare pyramid. Get over yourself douchebag. You’re not god. You’re not the boss. You’re not the master and commander of the world. You are a fallable human being that is a cog in the wheel. I couldn’t count the number of times I’ve kept some jackass like you from losing his medical license due to thinking similar to what you wrote in your little post. You’re welcome, asshat.

LMFAO!!!

This…is my new favorite website, after reading your reply to the last post! Bravo, sir!! :)

I’ll be sure to remember this the next time some irate MD whines about my refusal to take an “oxycodeine subscription” over the phone…
